“Community Sings, Song Circles and Potlucks”

We’re combining the Community Sings with the Song Circles and having potluck dinners before the singing begins. The combination will work like this. After enjoying the potluck offerings, we will form a circle as we do with the Song Circle. Those in the circle playing a song can either play a song from the Rise Up Singing Songbook that every one can sing or they can perform another song of their choosing. So some songs will be sing-along and some will be for your listening pleasure. As always, requests from those in the circle not playing are encouraged. Sounds complicated? It’s not really. Come out and see how eating, singing and playing enrich our community. The Community Sing/Song Circle/Potluck this Fall is Saturday, November 13 at the Greater Flint Arts Council Gallery. Bring a dish or food item to pass. The Potluck starts at 5 p.m. and the singing and playing start at 7p.m.
